Corrections work, especially custody, tends to be routine and monotonous, even boring at times. Employees may feel as if they are incarcerated alongside the offenders. When a fight breaks out however, staff is transformed from glorified “sitters” and “waiters,” to use the words of a Correctional Officer, to warriors in the front lines.

In this edition we recognize Ed and Page Cvelich, one of the many white Navigator staff ministering in the African American community. There is also a full announcement for our African American conference to be held next year in New York City.  Each year we host this event in a city where the Navigators have a strong ministry.  We are all very excited about what God will do at next year's conference.
