The Gospel is for Everyone

I have said before that the gospel is for everyone and that God is everyone’s God, but I didn’t believe it because I didn’t understand it before I went on a summer mission trip. There is a whole new mindset you gain from being overseas, that you cannot get without leaving your home.

I saw firsthand that the gospel is for everyone.

People may have different cultures, languages and customs, but deep down people have the same cares, needs, and sins. I thought that they would be drastically different from me and they would be hard to get to know, but I found that they are college students, like me, through and through. I saw firsthand that the gospel is for everyone, and I saw the importance of relationships. I realized that back home I was treating people as projects instead of building relationships by caring for and loving them. While building relationships on my trip, God changed my heart and He gave me heart for people, for the ones I was working with, and for the people back in the States who I had thought were to different from me, but really are not.
