Seeking a Navigator Staff member to pioneer a generational student ministry. This self-starter will need to function with little supervision, to develop a community of students who are reaching the lost, making disciples and equipping laborers. Also, encourage graduates who are linked with the broader Navigator community and are continuing to labor for the kingdom.

Along with developing the student ministry, your objectives will also include maturing your character in godliness and growing to be part of the broader Australian Navigator community. Have a deepening knowledge of and love for God and His Word. Learn to walk with God, especially in the area of personal holiness, spiritual disciplines, faith, and prayer life. Commit yourself to growth in Christian character by identifying personal sin and taking practical steps to change to become more like Christ. If married, have a growing marriage relationship which enriches your lives and is a model of partnership to others. Develop in ministry skills and experience to the glory of God.

Tasks as a Student Ministry Leader include:

—Involvement  on campus (four days/week), some evening work (while students are on campus)
—Intercede for the ministry (flexible five hours/week)
—Evangelize to the lost. Intentionally meet as many students as possible, in order to start some evangelistic Bible studies (seven hours/week)

— Make disciples. Train students in the “basics.” Give students the vision for being a laborer. Be students’ mentor. (seven hours/week)

—Equip laborers. Train students to lead evangelistic Bible studies, how to interpret the Bible, and how to follow up young believers. Facilitate students in putting this into practice. (five hours/week)

—Develop the sense of identity for the ministry on campus, including arranging and conducting activities for students to attend. (five hours/week)

—Administration including communicating to supporters. (four hours/week)

—Attend weekly team meeting (one hour/week)

—Maintain consistent time alone with God, reading the Word and praying

—Attend Prayer Day which is held annually.

—Have personal Bible study and daily time with God

—Relate regularly to a spiritual mentor for accountability in spiritual growth

—Attend staff and regional conferences (three days/year)

Devote 1/2 day per week to personal and professional development

Accountable to the National Director.

An annual review will be conducted by National Director. You would not leave the field in the first two years unless there was an emergency. It is expected that you will do all possible to raise up someone to replace you on campus in the event that God might lead you into other ministry roles in the future.

Previous Navigator ministry experience required. Freedom to build a ministry that is distinctly Navigator.

Fundraising is required.
