Mission: Moving Mountains

Partner With Us to Reach the Poor Living in Africa and Asia

Over the past several years, Mission: Moving Mountains has received an unprecedented number of requests from non-American Christian agencies for training in our ministry approach. Sensing God’s leading, we developed the Discipling for Development Mentoring Program to equip compatible Christian groups with the same skills that our own field workers employ. Through our mentoring program, we work in partnership with indigenous organizations who also have a passion for whole-life transformation. We are currently engaged in Discipling for Development partnerships in Kenya, Nigeria, Uganda, and Ghana, with more countries and partnerships on the horizon.
Sustainable, life changing community-based development typically is not heavily dependent upon outside resources. Imagine a community in your region of the world. God has blessed your country with many resources. Imagine a process in which the vision, planning, skills, implementation, material resources, management, and evaluation of a community improvement process all come primarily from within this community in your area. If that community has been so equipped to achieve one major improvement (water quality, agriculture, health, spiritual maturity), then these same skills and capacities allow the community to achieve a whole range of other improvements with God's help.

Imagine people in that community coming to Christ and becoming whole-life disciples, not just Sunday disciples. Imagine that community equipping neighboring communities through the same process. Imagine a whole region in your country in which communities are tasting true hope in Christ as they become more of what God intends for them to be spiritually, physically, psychologically, and environmentally. It would be like a bush fire blown by a strong wind—the wind of the Holy Spirit!
