Updates and Prayer for Baltimore/Washington DC

Over eighty people completed a series of training (12 hours total) on the topic of "living and thinking as an insider" that was offered over the last year and a half to all stakeholders in our metro area. Pray that they will follow through on their commitment to continue to serve their fellow man and learn how the Gospel advances and grows in the hearts and minds of their friends.

Pray for more and more people to catch the vision of "living and discipling among the lost." We want to partner with more and more people and churches who feel they have a personal stake in this calling.

Pray for the completion of an excellent workbook based on what we have been learning about living and thinking as insiders among the lost. Through this we want to serve a broader group of folks who sense that they should live as insiders in this world but don't have the convictions and practical know-how necessary.

Pray for fruit that lasts among our African-American, Asian American, Hispanic, multinational immigrant, student, foreign student and military populations.

The Baltimore/Washington Metro area is huge. The last census listed fourteen million people living within commuting distance. Pray that, long term, separate but interconnected missional communities of twenty-somethings would take root in several key areas of our metro: northern VA, Capitol Hill, the MD suburbs north of DC (near the University of MD), Columbia, MD and Towson, MD (these last two key areas southwest and northwest of Baltimore).

Pray for leaders for the advance of the Gospel among the next generation.
