Campus in Chicago
Greater
Chicago has 95 campuses and thousands of college students. Beginning in
1994, college students have demonstrated a significant increase in
their spiritual hunger and openness to the Gospel. The Navigators’
special targets for the future include Christian Colleges, Ethnic
Ministries, and Campuses in Urban Areas. Chicago is rich in all of
these. The U.S. Navigators’ Collegiate Ministry plans to target
these. In the Loop alone, there are six major academic institutions and
52,000 students, all in a 1.65 square mile area!
Currently, we have some small fledgling ministries going on in Chicago: Northwestern University, Moody Bible Institute, Wheaton College. The major challenge: find full time staff for UIC, Moody, Wheaton, Chicago State University, Northwestern, University of Chicago, DePaul, and Loyola.
