Using Questions to go Deeper
Asking appropriate questions in an atmosphere of love, trust, and acceptance can provide avenues for deeper conversation.

Many people have found the Book 201 Great Questions by Jerry Jones a useful resource in building their ability to ask good questions.
Consider two questions from the list below and use them this week at school, in the neighborhood, at work, or with non-believing friends.
- If you didn't have to worry about making a living, what would you most like to do for the rest of your life?
- If you knew that tomorrow would be the last full day of your life, how would you spend that day?
- How would you describe yourself without mentioning anything about what you do for a living?
- What three things do you believe without any doubts?
- What is one of the books that has had the greatest influence on your life? Why?
- What is your favorite movie? Why?
- Describe a time when you felt real fear? How did you respond?
- What is the most difficult choice you've had to make in your life up to this point? Why was it difficult?
- What are three barriers that keep you from reaching your full potential? What would most help you overcome these barriers?
- Which of your parents has had the greatest influence on your life? How?
- What living person do you most admire? A person who is no longer living? Why these people?
