VOLUNTEER QUALIFICATIONS1. Commitment to Christ.
A volunteer must be an evangelical Christian with a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. 2. Commitment to the local church. We will ask volunteers not to partner with The Navigators until their obligations to their church have been met. 3. Commitment to The Navigators. The Navigators seeks to provide solid, scripturally based guidance and information that is realistic in our high-pressured world. Therefore, a volunteer must agree with The Navigators' commitment to helping people to know Christ and to make Him known. 4. Commitment of time. The amount of time required will vary greatly depending on the position and the volunteer, but a volunteer must be able to make an adequate commitment. 5. Commitment to a Christian lifestyle. A Navigator volunteer must be a representative of Christ, both in public and private life. 6. Commitment to teamwork and assigned duties. A volunteer must be willing to cooperate with The Navigators' volunteer program supervision and be responsible for agreed-upon time schedule and tasks. 7. Commitment to be a 'true" volunteer. A volunteer must understand and agree that his or her motivation for volunteering is to advance the cause of Christ without any expectation of pay, special recognition, employment, or compensation.
