Speakers (scheduled to appear)
SPECIAL OPENING NIGHT SPEAKER: Eric Metaxas is the author of the New York Times #1 bestseller, Bonhoeffer: Pastor, Martyr, Prophet, Spy. Metaxas has written more than 30 books and has been featured in the Wall Street Journal, NPR, FoxNews, and Christianity Today. Eric will join us for a special reception after which we’ll travel to the nearby Woodman Valley Chapel for a special evening presentation.
Dr. Jeff Myers, Evangelist Josh McDowell called Summit’s new president “a man who is 100% sold out to preparing the next generation to reflect the character of Christ in the culture.” Through his speaking and media appearances Dr. Myers has become a fresh voice offering a winsome blend of humor and insight from a Christian worldview. He will be with us all week to host Q&A sessions and inspire attendees to mentor godly leaders for America’s future.
John Stonestreet directs Summit’s curriculum and content division and host the daily radio show, “The Point,” sponsored by Chuck Colson’s Breakpoint. John’s thought-provoking biblical worldview talks have made him one of Summit’s most popular lecturers, inspiring the “been there, done that” generation to genuinely live for Christ.
Jennifer Marshall is Director of Policy Studies at the Heritage Foundation and has been named by the National Journal as one of 12 “power players” in Washington because of her work on educational reform. Marshall reveals the shortcomings of the leftist “social justice” movement and show how to develop a biblical, free-market perspective.
Mark Mittelberg is a best-selling author and sought-after speaker whose newest book, The Questions Christians Hope No One Will Ask, deals with the ten issues believers most want to avoid — but must not! Mark’s practical approach to apologetics will have you laughing, reflecting, and learning to share your faith in an intelligent, contagious way.
Jeff Ventrella is senior vice-president of strategic training for the Alliance Defense Fund where he heads up the prestigious Blackstone Legal Fellowship which is training believers to be America’s top legal professionals. At our conference Ventrella will explain the growing attacks on Christianity and show how to live as wise Daniels in a Babylon world.
Dr. Nabeel Qureshi is a medical doctor and former devout Muslim who was convinced of the truth of Christianity through historical reasoning and a spiritual search for God. Now he dedicates his life to spreading the Gospel through teaching, writing, and debating. Qureshi will help us understand Islam’s threat and show how to share the truth with its adherents.
Kevin McGary is a life-long Californian who, as an outspoken business professional and Christian conservative, is passionate about restoring traditional, free-market values in his state and across America. McGary will speak to us on how evangelicals can connect with minority communities around biblical worldview issues.
Dr. Owen Hill is budget director for Compassion International and an emerging political leader in the State of Colorado. A graduate of the Air Force Academy, Hill holds a Ph.D. in Policy Analysis from the Pardee Rand Graduate School. His political experience and financial wisdom will help attendees develop a biblical approach to free-market economics.
SPECIAL GUEST SPEAKER Bill Butterworth lends us his extraordinary blend of humor, story-telling, and wisdom each morning to get us off to a great start with an unforgettable devotional about preparing future leaders.
HONORARY HOST AND CLOSING BANQUET SPEAKER: Dr. David Noebel is Founder and President Emeritus of Summit. His protégés are influential in business, politics, medicine, science, the military, and ministry.
