The Glen Eyrie Castle is beautiful to look at but you haven't truly experienced it until you've joined us for a tea and tour!

Join us for a special Tea on the Terrace--a perfect way to celebrate summer at Glen Eyrie Castle! Be sure to wear your favorite summer hat as you enjoy the following delicious treats:

  • Iced Teas (Hawaiian Colada and Bourbon Street Vanilla)
  • Tea Sandwiches (apricot chicken salad; egg salad; cucumber and watercress; smoked salmon)
  • Fresh Fruit Kabobs

PUBLIC TEAS

Step away from your busy schedule and enjoy one of our authentic Teas.  Perfect for mother/daughter outings, Mother's Day gifts, or a day with the family!

There is no dress code for tea. Don your Sunday best or your favorite blue jeans--whatever you're comfortable in!

Reservations are required for all teas. Prices include tax and gratuity. For groups  with over 26 guests, please inquire about private teas.


English Cream Teas -  $15.95/person (includes tax and gratuity)

Classic afternoon tea featuring an assortment of traditional and contemporary teas and pastries, including fresh-baked scones! Monday  -  Saturday at 2:30 p.m.

  • 2 Types of Tea, our Glen Eyrie House Blend (a black tea) and an Herbal selection of the day
  • Traditional Scones served with Clotted Cream and an assortment of preserves
  • Mini Quiche
  • Fresh Fruit
  • Cheese and Crackers

  • Chocolate Truffle

Formal Victorian Teas -  $20.95/person (includes tax and gratuity)

Formal luncheon tea featuring an assortment of traditional and contemporary teas and pastries, including fresh-baked scones. Also includes a selection of light lunch foods. Sundays at 11:30 a.m.

TOURS

What's the story behind this magnificent estate? Immerse yourself in the history of Glen Eyrie, from General Palmer to the Navigators, with one of our informative guided walking tours of the Castle or Glen Eyrie Gardens.

Castle Tours
(1.5 hours) include a short historical video and a guided tour through the Glen Eyrie Castle. They are offered at 1 p.m. everyday. Tours are also held at 11:00 a.m on Tuesday-Friday Memorial Day through Labor Day.

Garden Tours (1.5 hours) give you an opportunity to take a guided tour through our major gardens. These tours are offered Sundays at 3:00 p.m. until Labor Day.

Prices: Advance reservations are required. Prices include tax.

  • $4/senior (55 & older)
  • $3/child (ages 6-12)
  • Free for children under 6
  • $3/person if booked along with a tea

Educational (school) and Private Group Tours   are available by reservation only for groups of 10 or more. Private tours are $6 per person. Educational (school) tours are $3 per person and are available Monday through Friday. Call (719) 272-7757 to set up a tour for your group.

Drive-Through Tour  hours are Monday - Thursday 9 - 4 and include a complimentary tape or CD for your listening pleasure. A $5 donation is suggested upon check-in at the Gatehouse.
