ACCESS AND POLICIES

Who needs to request access?

We are pleased to offer free group hiking to small groups associated with churches, ministries, schools, non-profit associations. 

Businesses, families or other groups seeking to use the property should contact our Sales Department.  Appropriate charges will apply for day event use.

  • If you are leading a group of 8-15 hikers who are part of a church, ministry, school or non-profit association, this access and policy page will be helpful for you.
  • All hiking is permitted with advance reservations only.
  • Weekend access is normally not permitted due to the high volume of conferences and weddings we host on weekends.

How can I make a request?

Requests must be made through our online Group Hiking Request Form.  Responses will be sent via email. Requests not fitting the required guidelines will be declined.

  • All requests must be made a minimum of 2 weeks prior to the requested hiking date.
  • Permission is granted a maximum of 10 days in advance
  • All hiking must occur between the hours of 9:00am and 4:00pm. Additional restrictions may be required due to the daily conference schedule.

Group Hiking Policies

All members of a group must:

Minors must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian
OR
have the Glen Eyrie Hiking and Activities Permit/Release of Liability and Authorization of Medical Care completed by a parent or legal guardian AND be in the presence of a temporary guardian to whom the parent or legal guardian has given instruction and permission (i.e. school field trip).
  • When minors are present, a ratio of supervisory adults to minors or 1:6 is required
The public may visit the Carriage House Bookstore and Coffee Shop. All other buildings are reserved for overnight guests and are not available during your visit.

Restrooms are available in the Carriage House.

Private picnics are not permitted on the grounds.

Dogs are permitted at Glen Eyrie and on our hiking trails provided that they are well managed and kept on a leash at all times.
