Our Mission, Goals, and Objectives

NORTH AMERICAN INDIAN DISCIPLESHIP MINISTRY MISSION STATEMENT:
To know Christ and to make Him known to American Indian and Alaska Natives.
NORTH AMERICAN INDIAN DISCIPLESHIP MINISTRY TEAM GOALS AND OBJECTIVES:
- To establish relationships within American Indian and Alaska Native communities, and to provide discipleship training in that context.
- Develop teams of Navigator staff who are committed to minister on Indian reservations, at American Indian institutions of higher learning, and in urban areas with a high population of Native peoples.
- Expose other ministries in American Indian and Alaska Native communities to the Navigator model for helping believers reach maturity in Christ.
- Establish connections between American Indian and Alaska Natives and the Navigator staff who are already ministering within their geographic location.
- To equip Navigator collegiate, military, and prison staff to minister to American Indian and Alaska Natives in a culturally appropriate manner.
- Provide opportunities for Navigator staff to become familiar with Native American peoples (including hosting staff for short term experiences on an Indian reservation).
- Recommend resources for enhanced understanding of Native cultures
- Provide consultative services when requested
- To empower American Indian and Alaska Native peoples to develop and sustain influential discipleship ministries in collegiate, military, prison, urban, and rural settings.
