Our Mission, Goals, and Objectives

To know Christ and to make Him known to American Indian and Alaska Natives.

  1. To establish relationships within American Indian and Alaska Native communities, and to provide discipleship training in that context.
    • Develop teams of Navigator staff who are committed to minister on Indian reservations, at American Indian institutions of higher learning, and in urban areas with a high population of Native peoples.

    • Expose other ministries in American Indian and Alaska Native communities to the Navigator model for helping believers reach maturity in Christ.

    • Establish connections between American Indian and Alaska Natives and the Navigator staff who are already ministering within their geographic location.

  2. To equip Navigator collegiate, military, and prison staff to minister to American Indian and Alaska Natives in a culturally appropriate manner.

    • Provide opportunities for Navigator staff to become familiar with Native American peoples (including hosting staff for short term experiences on an Indian reservation).

    • Recommend resources for enhanced understanding of Native cultures

    • Provide consultative services when requested

  3. To empower American Indian and Alaska Native peoples to develop and sustain influential discipleship ministries in collegiate, military, prison, urban, and rural settings.
