MelindaJoy Mingo

Director of Intercultural Resources

MelindaJoy Mingo brings to the Cultural Affairs team a variety of gifts and ministry experiences. Having both an African American and Native American heritage has provided MelindaJoy an early exposure to ethnic differences. MelindaJoy has utilized her strengths in evangelism, teaching, praise and worship and communications in various ministries and responsibilities throughout the U.S. for nearly two decades. Ministry involvement also includes conducting bible studies at Colorado prisons, outreach ministries and involvement with local homeless shelters. MelindaJoy also serves with Vollie Sanders and the National Women's Ministries as a part of the national core team.

Losing a husband to illness and experiencing God's gracious care has given MelindaJoy a compassionate, caring heart for people which is shown through her Mended Hearts Ministry, a personal ministry she began in 1997. MelindaJoy grew up in Chicago, Il and moved to Colorado Springs in 1996.

Ministry involvement also includes serving as a chaplain at a local rescue mission. discipleship training and mentoring at Colorado prisons, and involvement with the homeless. MelindaJoy also serves with Jane Berry and the National Women's Ministries as a part of the national advisory core team.
