To Know Christ and Make Him Known

Think of a country that has more Blacks than any other in the world except Nigeria…a country where Asian Americans are the fastest growing ethnic group…a country with over 350 different nations of indigenous people, most of whom speak their own languages…a country with a city that has more Puerto Ricans than San Juan, the capital of Puerto Rico, and another city whose Hispanic population is greater than seven Latin American countries. Did you think of the United States of America? This is our country, and demographers say that we are becoming even more diverse faster!

In Luke 10 Jesus gives what is called the parable of the good Samaritan. This parable is His answer to the question, "Who is my neighbor?" I believe Jesus is saying to us, "the neighborhood is changing!" Are we ready for the neighborhood to change? Do we know how to love these new neighbors as Jesus has commanded? We in Cultural Affairs are here to encourage, support and lead the US Navigator Family in fulfilling the second Greatest Commandment and the Great Commission. In the coming months we will begin posting resources that will help us advance the gospel among our ethnically diverse ‘neighbors’ here at home in the US.
