Bob
and Reba have been Navigator Associate Staff in Chicago
since 1984. They have been married 15 years and have two
children—Robert, 12 and Charisse, 10. This is the 15th year that Bob
has
worked as a teacher and coach in a high school.
After a decade as a "homemaker," Reba has gone back to being a School Social Worker. The needs of many children are almost beyond description. She tries to respond with compassion, love, and hope.
Over the years Bob's ministry has continued to focus on Romans 15:20 "...where Christ was not known." He reaches out to unchurched young people with evangelistic Bible discussions after school in his classroom. Bob also develops relaltionships with youth through coaching at his children's school, and with neighborhood kids at the local park district. And being a "Hoosier," he still plays ball with the fellas at a nearby playground.
The overall plan is to "raise up laborers in the harvest" who will be trained to do the same thing. (Read Matthew 9:30-35, and Pray Matthew 9:38. Thanks.)
