Our themes are what make Rez what it is! We do themes because they're a way to creatively communicate spiritual truth. Whether it's a kid's first or fifth summer at Eagle Lake, Rez Camp is a new world of messages and methods to meet kids where they are.

2008 - Mission to the Unknown (Acts 17:22-34)
At the Eagle Lake Space Station, two dozen of the best of the best from different countries are here to discover, explore, and investigate the mysteries of space. Leave your high-tech gear at home, because this is an old-school blast from the past sci-fi adventure to the Unknown. It's time to board your tin-can rocket ship and work on your space terms and silly alliterated adjectives like: Astounding Asteroid Adventure, Intergalactic Intrigue, and Super-Cool Supernova!

2007 - Epic (2 Corinthians 3:17-18)
There was a quiet on the set, the music was cued, and the actors were ready to perform the most incredible story yet to date! The Producers and The Directors both worked to see who could create the biggest and best epic at our very own Eagle Lake Studios.

2006 - LOST (Proverbs 3:5-6)
When PanPacific flight 49 and TransAtlantic flight 76 have to make simultaneous emergency landings on a mysterious tropical island, strange things start to occur. There was no telling how long the two flights were going to be stranded, but they had to make it on instinct, some adventurous twists, and a little bit of trust in the midst of these trying times.

2005 - The Dust Bowl Chronicles (Luke 8:4-8)
Set in the 1930's, our Dust Bowl Chronicles introduced campers to a colorful cast of travelers, farmers, and old timers with plenty of stories of faith in hard times, and hope for "something better 'round the bend." This year's big teams were: the Train Hoppin' Hoboes versus the Hay Bailin' Hillbillies!

2004 - Ancient Greek Games (Hebrews 12:1-2)
The Stadium was groomed, the great cloud of witnesses assembled, and competitors from all over came by chariot to Mount Olympus for the challenging contests and the famed Festival of the Games. Participants from the Titan Alliance and the Spartan Federation discovered what it takes to be a true champion, keeping their eyes focused on the greatest Champion ever to wear the crown |
2003 - Heroes, Inc. (Isaiah 41: 9-10)
Eagle Lake exploded with energy and excitement as the Superhero Training Insitute (STI) set up "camp" to crank out the world's next batch of heroes. Over 2,300 campers joined us as the Freedom Force battled the Liberty League for superhero supremacy, where even the most unlikely of heroes became one at Eagle Lake's Heroes, Inc.! |
2002 - Classic 2002 (Matthew 28:19-20)
In this, our 45th year, we went back to when "old school" was cool - back to the the 50's and the way things were, back to the basics when Eagle Lake had just begun! We dusted off the best that our past had to offer, while still making room for the new stuff of today. Whether a Scout or a Ranger, the sleeves got rolled up for a rockin' good time "back in the day" at Eagle Lake. |
2001 - Reality Check (Colossians 2:17)
Check your reality! Set in a Survivor-esque environment complete with Tribal Councils and some of our greatest Tribe Challenges ever, this summer was sure to play with your perceptions of what reality was (and wasn't)! Other highlights included the Reality Maximus, Tribal Bonfire, and Beach Luau! Two big tribe names: Kwa and Nok! Thrive to survive!

2000 - Top Secret 2000 (Deuteronomy 29:29)
The Word was out, the veil was torn, the world's Top Secret ("God wants you") was revealed! Things were not all as they appeared as adventure and mystery challenged Spymasters and secret agents alike in this, the ultimate mission possible! It was the Codebreakers versus the Interceptors, along with every great spy movie music theme ever made! |
1999 - Retro Revolution (Hebrews 13:8)
Jumping back into time with our new Thunderdome (complete with stage and meeting space), Eagle Lake went Retro! It was the Time Warpers versus the Quantum Leapers on this incredible journey for truth through the expanse of the history of the world. The fact that Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever took on new and novel meaning as part of this amazing trip! |
1998 - Kingdom Quest (Colossians 1:13-14)
The mist rose off the lake and a castle loomed large in the distance. Bright moonlight illuminated the quiet forest of trees, endless in every direction. Straight out of the Middle Ages, this summer's theme compared King Arthur's Camelot to Jesus' Kingdom here on earth. |
1997 - Lost: World (Ezekiel 34:16)
Step back in time and into an archeologist's dream! In 1997, Eagle Lake drew the parallel between the lost world of the prehistoric and the lost world of modern mankind. The Father's heart for the world was the focus this summer. Big team names: the Meateaters and the Weedeaters. |
1996 - Big Top Eagle Lake (Acts 2:42-47)
Bearded ladies, jugglers, and clowns galore learned to follow The Ringmaster as the Boomin' Big Toppers and the Thunderous Three Ringers showed the world that the Body of Christ is indeed His Greatest Show. |
1995 - A Town Called Prosperity (Proverbs 3:1-2)
Set up as an outpost along the Santa Fe and Oregon Trails, Eagle Lake's pardners learned about biblical prosperity and the nuggets of gold found in God's Word. |
1994 - Summer Safari (I John 2:15-17)
Whether riding atop our new Rhino Ride or flying through the trees on our new Tarzan Swing, Eagle Lake campers learned to find sanctuary while on safari through the dangers of the world's jungle. |
1993 - Dogfight Over Eagle Lake (Ephesians 6:10-18)
Set in the World War II times of the 1940s, the P-38 Lightning and the B-24 Liberators took to the skies for a summer of training in God's Air Academy. New this year: our spinning three-ringed flight simulator! |
1992 - World Games (I Timothy 4:7-8)
In this Olympic year, our World Games participants represented countries from all over the world. In pursuit of godliness and with the goal of finishing well the race of life, campers carried the Eternal Flame culminating in our own medal ceremony! |

1991 - Search for Treasure (Proverbs 2:1-6)
Pirates, treasure maps, and a quest for the hidden jewels of the Bible, Eagle Lake's Search for Treasure was a rollicking, full-blown-sail ride of 18th-century fun!

1990 - World Cup
The Death-Defying Downhillers and the Fearless Free-Stylers took to the slopes of Eagle Lake's neon-splashed first theme summer. Ramp skiing into the lake was a real highlight!
