Staff Assistance Fund

Did you know, Eagle Lake's full time staff raises all their own personal support? Because Eagle Lake is a not-for-profit ministry there are few funds to allocate for personal salaries. In an effort to keep the registration cost down, as well as a desire to have people join in our ministry, we personally raise our own salaries. The challenges of running a business and raising support can be difficult. To help our staff balance this challenge we created the Eagle Lake Staff Assistance Fund (SAF).

Eagle Lake’s Staff Assistance Fund is designed to help the full time staff balance the responsibility of raising their personal support in the midst of running our business. The Staff Assistance Fund helps to cover fundraising shortfalls, allows for merit raises, and cover staff development costs that the organization cannot afford.

Raising personal support can be difficult due to the high volume of work required to keep camp functioning, not just during the summer but year-round as well. Eagle Lake's Staff Assistance Fund is an account that will help Eagle Lake continue to function and grow into the future. The fund is designed to help assist full time staff when difficult funding times arise, allowing them to continue the ministry of Eagle Lake. The SAF also helps bring on much-needed, new full time staff, even if they have not quite reached their full fundraised budget. We believe the SAF will greatly increase the full time staff's ability to serve at camp and provide for their families and the future.
