About Eagle Lake

To inspire Christ-centered love and commitment, through counselor relationships, in the midst of exciting outdoor experiences."

For over 50 years that has been Eagle Lake’s goal. It has driven us to develop innovative and cost-efficient ways to deliver the best and safest camp programs. We strive to help young people grow spiritually, emotionally, physically and socially while giving them the opportunity to experience the outdoors. Here at Eagle Lake, we are committed to providing value, safety and fun for each camper.

At Eagle Lake, we value good stewardship of our resources and property. We continually evaluate our programming not only for relevancy but for cost-efficiency. This ensures that you are getting the most value for the least amount of money. Eagle Lake also promotes environmental responsibility through our adherence to “Leave no Trace” principles. It is our desire to protect the environment for future generations.

Nothing is more important to us than the safety of your child. We hire the best college students in the country and thoroughly train and develop them. Constant evaluation of programs and staff ensure the safest experience for your child. We count it an honor that you would entrust your child to us during the summer.

No camper’s time at Eagle Lake would be complete without fun. Whether this means a ride on the zipline, time with friends and their counselor, or just engaging with the outdoors, Eagle Lake’s 330 acres provide an amazing backdrop to experience the beauty and fun of God’s creation.

Mission of Eagle Lake

Each of our programs builds on the wonder of God's creation, infusing the camping experience with Biblical truth that kids remember forever. Eagle Lake is owned and operated by The Navigators, whose motto for the past 70 years has been "to know Christ and to make Him known."

Our Commitment to Safety

With more than 60 years of combined Christian camping experience, our full-time staff works hard year-round to ensure every camp maintains the highest standard of excellence. Our On-Site camps staff a full-time registered nurse along with student nurses on-call at all times. If needed, a hospital can be accessed at a nearby mountain community. Nothing is more important to us that your camper’s safety.

All Excursion camp staff are experienced in outdoor pursuits. Each member is required to make a two-summer commitment, and the entire team undergoes 21 days of rigorous training. Excursion counselors are Wilderness First-Aid and CPR-certified. First-Aid kits are carried at all times, along with two-way radios and/or cell phones for emergencies. While inherent risks exist in any adventure activity, risks are minimized dramatically by implementing the highest safety standards in the industry.

Eagle Lake campers are accepted without regard to race, color, national origin, religion, or handicap (though campers with physical challenges should contact Eagle Lake before registering to discuss the respective program and help our staff understand his or her special needs due to the steep inclines and rough terrain of the Colorado Rockies).

Eagle Lake is licensed by the State of Colorado, accredited by the American Camping Association (ACA), certified by the Certified Horsemanship Association (CHA), and an appraised member of Christian Camp & Conference Association (CCCA) and the Evangelical Council for Financial Accountability (ECFA). Eagle Lake Excursion Camps are operated on the Pike, San Isabel, and Gunnison National Forests under special-use permit from the United States Forest Service (USFS).
