LOCATION:Durham, North Carolina DATES:June 2 - August 3, 2011 PROGRAM DESCRIPTION:Urban Hope is a Navigator ministry that is advancing the Gospel among urban youth and their families in the inner city of Durham. As a camp counselor, you will team up with 10-12 short-term missionaries to help campers start their own businesses, play sports, go on awesome field trips, and grow spiritually. Counselors live in the community together and receive guided ministry training. After the summer, there is an opportunity to continue to invest in the youth as an Urban Hope Intern for six months or a year. If you are concerned about social justice and want to gain a deeper understanding of God's passion for the urban poor while living in the inner-city with fellow missionary counselors, then Urban Hope is the opportunity for you.
