Always a nation of immigrants, America is home to one-fifth of our planet's Hispanic peoples. U.S. cities host some of the largest Spanish-speaking populations in the world.

Hispanics and Asians will account for most of the growth in the U.S. populations over the next fifty years. As a result, in less than one lifespan, Americans from racial and ethnic minority groups will outnumber those of Anglo-Saxon descent.

Consider these facts:

In the 1990's, Hispanics account for 40% of U.S. population growth. Hispanics are the youngest population group in the U.S. As this generation matures, the process of multiplication will once again change the face of our nation. In 1997, one in nine Americans were Hispanic. By the year 2050, one in five Americans will be of Hispanic origin. How should we Christians respond to the challenge of our changing nation? Where and how should we invest our resources of time and money to best reach the next generation for Christ?
